Executive Publisher Martina O’Sullivan has acquired world all language rights to Explaining AuDHD by Dr Khurram Sadiq directly from the author. The book will be published in paperback and ebook on 3rd April 2025 during World Autism Acceptance week.

Explaining AuDHD is a straight-talking guide for those trying to understand Autism and ADHD as a combined diagnosis. Using real-life stories of people living with AuDHD, it offers advice for anyone questioning their own neurodiversity, undergoing assessment, or making sense of their recent diagnosis and their loved ones.

Dr Khurram Sadiq is a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Psychiatrist and an Expert in Autism, ADHD and neurodivergent care across the life span. He is the Clinical Lead for Adult ADHD service at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and the South East London Integrated Care System. He has delivered six TEDx talks and recently delivered a talk at the United Nations in Vienna about neurodiversity. His life and work has been featured in The Guardian, Sky News, Talk TV with Trish Goddard, The One Show, ITV and Channel 5.

Explaining AuDHD will be the first book in a new ‘Explaining’ series of introductory guides to cutting edge areas of psychology and mental health published by August Books.

Martina O’Sullivan said: ‘I first encountered Khurram in a Guardian article exploring the phenomenon of AuDHD earlier in the year. I was really struck by his unique combination of expertise and lived experience so I knew he was the right person to shed much needed light on this complex topic. I hope this book will be useful both for individuals who are exploring a diagnosis and their support network of friends and family

Khurram Sadiq said: ’The journey to writing Explaining AuDHD began with a single question: why do so many people with both autism and ADHD go unheard, misunderstood, or misdiagnosed? I’ve witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by individuals who live at the intersection of these two neurodivergences. The entwining nature of autism and ADHD, often referred to as AuDHD, remains poorly understood and this lack of understanding impacts the everyday lives of those who live with it.

My goal is to help readers grasp how autism and ADHD intertwine, affecting the experiences, challenges, and strengths of individuals living with both. More than just explaining a condition, this book is about fostering a deeper connection with the people behind the diagnosis
