August Books hits the road with YouTube star Itchy Boots’ debut travelogue

Commissioning Editor Craig Lye has acquired UK & Commonwealth rights to FREE RIDE by Noraly Schoenmaker (a.k.a Itchy Boots) from Abigail Koons and Ben Kaslow-Zieve of Park & Fine Literary. The book will be published in June 2025 by August Books in the UK & Commonwealth. FREE RIDE is a translation of Schoenmaker’s best-selling Dutch-language book, Keerpunt published by Luitingh Sijthoff.
Noraly Schoenmaker is the creator of Itchy Boots, a YouTube channel with more than two million loyal subscribers. A motorcycling obsessive, her journeys have taken her the length of the American continent, from Argentina to Alaska; from the northernmost point of Europe to the southernmost point of Africa; and to some of the least travelled regions of the globe. In FREE RIDE, Noraly takes us back to her first ever long-distance ride, and how it came about following heartbreak at home.
